That means we've done enough damage from this island and need to swap to a new one. Enemies will spawn behind you and you can deal with them if you want, but the main goal here is to shoot the tower.Īfter pouring enough ammo into it, a giant spikey ball will fly from the rings to the tower and circle it. The tower is vulnerable when it's green and invulnerable when it's covered in ice. When you're there, step off and head towards the front of the island. When the enemies are dead, take a right and head onto the blue platform on the east-side of the digital island. If you are killed, you'll respawn on the same platform and be able to continue from the exact moment you died. The rifle you have is relatively weak, but we can't die, so don't worry too much about playing tactically. When you arrive at the golden island, enemies from Cyberspace will begin spawning. You'll be taken through Cyberspace, with Shodan's internal monologue ringing through the air. Head to the bottom of the steps and shoot the barrier in front of you, then walk onto the platform. Grab it and you'll automatically equip it.ĭon't worry, from now on, we'll be able to respawn infinitely, meaning this boss fight is more of a story moment than it is a particularly challenging battle. Walk forwards and down the steps ahead of you until you come across a digital rifle.
After defeating the Cortex Reaver and finally accessing the Cyberspace Terminal, we'll appear in Shodan's lair.
